Concerning the relationship between Sri Krishna and our Moolavar, Sri Periya Perumal Ranganathan. We believe they are the same, thus praying to Periya Perumal is equivalent to praying to Krishnar. Naam Perumal, the Utsavar, is likened to Sri Rama. So this is indeed a big occasion of Sri Krishna in way of Sri Ranganatha!
