Srimad Bhagavatham – Creation (Shrushti)This is a featured page

Thirumazhisai Azhwar in the tenth decad of Thirucchandha viruttham wrote thus:
thannuLE thiraiththezhum tharanka veNthadankadal
[Like the ocean which has waves spreading out from its own (though waves look and are different from the ocean), ]
thannuLEthiraiththezhun^thadankukinRa thanmaipOl
[and takes the whole lot of waves back to its own waters; (and then the cycle repeats.)]
ninnuLEpi RanthiRanthu niRpavum thiripavum,
[You (the Lord) let the sentient (chith) and non-sentient (achit) be born and dead]
ninnuLEya dankukinRa nIrmain^in_kaN ninRathE.
[and then take them converging back to you (during mahApraLayam).]
(Thirucchandha viruttham- 10)

Pre-condition to Generation/Creation (Shrushti): Prakrita Pralaya – everything is nameless, and formless. Rajas, Tamas, and Satwas are at equal levels

1. Chakra Azhwar (Time/Kala) prompts Sriman Narayana (Brahmam) to start Shrushti (Creation).

2
. Adwaraka Shrushti (Direct Creation) starts now when Sriman Narayana (Brahmam) initiates Satkayavada – the first step in Shrushti (creation).

Srimad Bhagavatham- Creation Details

3. In parallel, for each of the multiple Andakataha (spheres) with 14 significant planetary systems each that are being created on the Moolaprakriti, from various Tanmanthras, Mahabhutas are created by Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) as follows:

  • From the Sound tanmanthra, the Ether (Akasha) mahabhuta is created.
  • Akasha gives birth to the Air (Vayu) mahabhuta which has both Touch and Sound tanmanthras.
  • Vayu gives birth to the Tejas (Fire) mahabhuta which has Form, Touch, and Sound tanmanthras
  • Tejas gives birth to the Apah (Water) mahabhuta which has Taste, Form, Touch, and Sound tanmanthras
  • Apah gives birth to the Prthvi (Earth) mahabhuta which has Smell, Taste, Form, Touch, and Sound tanmanthras

The following table shows the following Gross Elements and how they are related to the appropriate Sense Objects:

Mahabhutas – Gross Elements Tanmanthra – Sense Objects
Akasha – Ether – Sky Sound (Shabda)
Vayu – Air (created from Ether) Touch (Sparsha) + Sound (Shabda)
Tejas – Agni – Fire (created from Air) Light/Form (Rupa) + Touch (Sparsha) + Sound (Shabda)
Apah – Varuna – Water (created from Fire) Taste (Rasa) + Light/Form (Rupa) + Touch (Sparsha) + Sound (Shabda)
Prthvi – Earth (created from Water) Smell (Ghandha) + Taste (Rasa) + Light/Form (Rupa) + Touch (Sparsha) + Sound (Shabda)

4. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) then does Pancheekatana (Mixing) of Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth according to the table shown below.

Element Ratio of Elements
Ether Air Fire Water Earth
Ether ½ ( 50% ) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%)
Air 1/8 (12.5%) ½ ( 50% ) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%)
Fire 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) ½ ( 50% ) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%)
Water 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) ½ ( 50% ) 1/8 (12.5%)
Earth 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) 1/8 (12.5%) ½ ( 50% )

5
. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) now creates the first Physical body – The First Shell made of the Moola Prakriti (Divine Body/ Primordial Nature/Material Nature).

6
. From all the athmas available, for each of the multiple Andakataha (spheres) with 14 significant planetary systems each that are being created on the Moolaprakriti, Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) now has to select Athmas to fill the various Brahma posts in each of the Andakataha (spheres) worlds that are being created. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) runs through the Pava/Punya accounts of all the Athmas and selects the most creditable Atmas to fill the various Brahma posts.
Srimad Bhagavatham- Sri Vaikuntam

7. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) creates the first Jeevathma by entering Brahmam’s Antharyami into the selected creditable Athma.

8
. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) injects the first Jeevathma into the first physical body and the first Brahma is born. The Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) can now rest. This signifies the end of Adwaraka Shrushti (Direct Creation).

9
. Sadwaraka Shrushti (Indirect Creation) starts here. Brahma is now delegated the responsibility of creation from now on.

10
. Brahma (The Creator/Generator) creates Shiva (The Destructor) to take care of destruction when the time comes.

11
. Brahmam (Sriman Narayana) incarnates as Vishnu (The Operator, Shiva’s Grandfather) to stand between the Creator/Generator (Brahma the father), and Destructor (Shiva the creator Brahma’s son).

12
. Each Brahma now creates his appropriate 14 significant Planetary Systems, and 14 Manus to start populating each of the 14 significant Planetary Systems. These 14 significant Planetary Systems systems are as follows:

Srimad Bhagavatham- Andakatahas

Kali yuham started on 1th Feb 3102 BC..
..Puranas..The Puranas are classified into a Maha- (“great”) and a Upa- (“lower, additional”) corpus. According to Matysa Purana, they are said to narrate five subjects, called Pancha Lakshana (“five distinguishing marks”):

  1. Sarga – The creation of the universe.
  2. Pratisarga – Secondary creations, mostly re-creations after dissolution.
  3. Vamsa – Genealogy of gods and sages.
  4. Manvañtara – The creation of the human race and the first human beings.
  5. Vamsanucaritam – Dynastic histories.

Manvantras is the period of Manu’s rule consisting of 71 celestial Yugas or 308,448,000 man years.
Puranas are characterized by the qualities of material nature: Sattwa (goodness), Rajas (passion) and Tamas (ignorance). Accordingly, they are:

  1. Sattwa (truth; purity): Vishnu Purana, Bhagavata Purana, Naradeya Purana, Garuda Purana, Padma Purana, Varaha Purana
  2. Rajas (dimness; passion): Brahmanda Purana, Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Markandeya Purana, Bhavishya Purana, Vamana Purana, Brahma Purana
